Weave
Weave is a solid wood bookcase whose design takes inspiration from woven structures and knitted textiles. The wave-like undulations along the front faces of the shelves and uprights afford the bookcase a sculptural quality that is both familiar and evocative.
When viewed from the front Weave looks like any other bookcase, but move to the left or right and the woven aesthetic becomes apparent, bringing the bookcase alive and giving it a greater sense of depth and intrigue.
Brief:
To create a novel bookcase from solid wood that can be manufactured using standard 3-axis CNC technologies.
